The Olympus OM Zuiko lenses were the brainchild of visionary optical designer Yoshihisa Maitani and are therefore uniquely consistent in performance and image characteristics. The name Zuiko (瑞光) means 'Holy Light', using a character from the Mizuho Optic Research Laboratory (瑞穂光学研究所), where the lens was developed, and a character from Takachiho Corporation (高千穂製作所), which would eventually become the Olympus Corporation.

You have a breathtaking number of focal lengths and a constant f/2.0 aperture for every focal length from 21mm through 100mm. Nevermind the specs, though. The flares are unreal, the bokeh is creamy, and there is no vintage lens series better suited to cinematography (it has a 40mm, 60mm, and 70mm!).

Compact size, uniform T2.2 apertures, and consistent performance. They produce sharp images with warm smooth flares, without being too sterile.

These gems feature 95mm front diameters, new circular irises, and consistent gear placement across the set. Even better, the OM primes sport consistent T2.2 apertures on nearly every focal length, making it the most cohesive set of vintage full-frame primes you can shoot with! Also the Olympus 40mm f/2.0 may be diminutive, but it covers well beyond Monstro VV 8K and looks incredible doing it.
